The session this week we will take the knowledge we have gained from Multiply by Francis Chan, we put into practice some of our learnings.

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. – James 1:22

Last session we learned about the Bible and foundation of the scriptures in our Christian life. This week we had have read about studying the bible prayerfully and obediently.

Each week we have a Bible reading plan and this week it was the whole book of James.  Taking the book of James and the chapter of Multiply, it has been decided to be “Doers of the Book”. Rather than just reading this chapter of the book and moving on, we are going to put into practice what we have learned.

If you are not with us at Panera today, it is recommended that you prayerfully read through the book of James, all 5 chapters.  Pray for the time you spend in the Word. Pray for the Holy Spirit to make a difference.  In this weeks session we challenge ourselves and test what our motivation in reading the bible is. Do we just want to know more or do we want change to happen?

Work your way through all 5 chapters this week, read through Part III, Section 2 of Multiply again and really grasp the depth of the challenge. Check your motivations on why you read the bible. Challenge yourself to be changed.
