Independence, survivalist, what do you call it? Society says we are measured how well we can survive on our own. But Jesus makes it clear, not to isolate.
The term “church”, that is a common word thrown around these days. But this week we dig in a little deeper and find out the intentions Jesus had when he referred to the church and what were we inspired to do and be.
The big thing that really jumped out to me is the seriousness of fellowship defined in the book of Acts and how casual we use the term today. I am guilty of using the term to mean hanging out together for a bit and chatting. But the definition is much more than that. It is a style of life. One that is passionate about life together. Not just quick talk and sharing of jokes but a commitment to others lives.
When you study the church this week also take some time to reflect on how you use the term “Fellowship”. What is your definition?
We will be at Panera Bread this Saturday and we would love to have you and some friends join us. We hope to see you there!
