Disciples making disciples

We begin this time of pushing into some real application in life of the command we have been give by Christ in the bible.  Were you aware that you have a purpose and to act on?

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

This does not have anything about earning your salvation, but living as a Christian as an overflow of His grace. As a group we will be reading through the book Multiply.  We will be posting the reading plan and progress here, so if you miss a week or if you want to catch up and join in, you will know where we are.

Some of these topics will challenge your own thinking of being a Christian. Some of the truth laid out for us pushes us to want to think that Jesus was not talking to everybody.  If that is your stance, relax, recline and receive.  Take some time to listen to the instruction of these two very wise followers of Jesus Christ, Francis Chan and David Platt.

Let us not be deceived. Let us gather together and take the journey together.  None of us is as good as all of us.  We will be reading sections and coming together each week to discuss the material. How it relates to our life. What, maybe, we have experienced in our past or we are in the middle of right now, that relates to the command Christ gave us.

Check out the following video for some introduction and then journey with us.  As Jesus encouraged the disciples, “follow me”. Let’s do this together, for His glory.
